Angie Vasileiou - Weaving The Ineffable
Located within the industrial hinterlands of the City of Leicester, a library is imagined, embedded within the mysterious and bleak micro-cosmos of Soar Island. This shifting, labyrinthine terrain is loosely traced out across the island, guided by the writings of Borges, Eco and Deleuze. Complex interconnecting networks of rooms lure the visitor to endlessly explore the depths of the apparently boundary-less interior. “Weaving the Ineffable” seeks to construct a literate architecture where non-linear structures of space can echo the uncanny structures of the mind. Angie studied architecture Part I in Leicester school of architecture before joining unit 24 at the bartlett for Part II, in 2013. After graduating in 2015, she joined Es Devlin studio and now develops a broad range of set design works internationally - ranging from theatre, film and opera to art and architecture.
A Coke is a Coke and no amount of money can get you a better Coke than the one the bum on the corner is drinking. All the Cokes are the same and all the Cokes are good. Liz Taylor knows it, the President knows it, the bum knows it, and you know it.” I just asking myself coke is same things as the poorest or richest ? Nowadays coke has limited addition bottle design by famous designers. I am asking to my self: Burger king or McDonald’s?” Which one is better? What branding labelling doing to us? Showing us direction or dividing us? People “ consumer “ how live same world still living lack of drinking clean water all the Cokes are the same and all the Cokes are good for them? I undertook this project because: I believe artist always must reconsider his work. What he creates today it will generate the future . Hole world will heritage his work. I believe artist have talent to create the future of the human kind. What we will create it will one day turn against us. What I know there is only one world. For poorest or richest . Essentially we are all human being. Stop labelling, dividing each other. What we will create today also it will build up future.
